No day on the mission field is typical, because things are always just happening as they happen.
However, we do keep a schedule and try to maintain some order and organization. ☺ We setup what we think we will do, and leave in God’s hands what actually goes down.
This is what a Monday “typically” looks like:
7:00 Wake up, the sounds of the rooster and other hustle and bustle in the compound help me find the motivation.
8:00 Coffee, morning devotions
9:30 Breakfast- Usually two rice cakes with peanut butter if I have them, or sometimes eggs
10:30 Study and prepare for the day
12:00 Staff meeting
1:00 Staff devotions
2:00 Depart for village
2:30 Arrive in Lukwor North Village, greet the people
3:00 Begin our Bible study fellowship program- dancing, praise and worship, time for testimonies, I teach from the book of Genesis, then we pray over everyone who needs prayer
5:00 Depart to return home
5:30 Get home, cook dinner
7:00 Eat dinner
8:00 Prepare for tomorrow’s programs
10:00 Go to bed
